Eat Cake Events came together when two lifelong friends decided to return to the workforce after both having taken time off to start a family. With years of previous experience in the hospitality and service industries, the pair decided that while they were eager to return to work, they were also as equally eager to continue the level of care they were currently providing to their young children.
With their 15 year friendship as their starting point, they combined their strengths; high organisational skills, creativity and initiative, and a burning passion for the hospitality and service industries to create a one of a kind, high quality event management company,Eat Cake Events.

with organising your event, allowing you to sit back and enjoy
yourself. After all, isn't that what any special event is about,
enjoying yourself?

We want our clients to feel comfortable talking with us, and to have a sense of trust in our capabilities. We would like to give you a little glimpse into our backgrounds, and show how our experiences have brought us here to Eat Cake Events.
I have worked in the hospitality, marketing, hotel and service industries for over 10 years. During that time I have engaged in many different fields of employment, from A la Carte, Banqueting, Functions and Weddings, to Conference & Event Manager and Assistant General Manager of a large resort and conference/wedding venue in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
During this time I gained a broad range of experiences and discovered my true passion was in the event management business. I enjoyed organising every part of the event, from the invitations, the decorations, to seating arrangements and menus. To me, it was all about the details, and I excelled in creating flawless events for my clients.
I took a break from my career to start a family, and my daughter Charlotte has changed my life in ways I never thought imaginable. After about 6 months off I was eager to get back into doing what I loved, creating memorable events, and, after collaborating with my long time friend, the beginnings of Eat Cake Events began to take shape.

Hey there, my name is Storm and I am pleased to have you as a guest on our website. From my earliest memories, I have been involved in the hospitality industry. Both of my parents were chefs, and I have watched them work in a wide range of venues, restaurants & hotel, giving me a great inside view of how things operate from the service side of an event.
Upon finishing high school, I commenced work in a five star resort kitchen as an experienced cook, but soon realised I was more interested in the customer service side of the hospitality industry. I attended TAFE for two years where I studied a diploma of business and returned to the resort and commenced work as their Wedding Coordinator.
I worked there for approximately three years and during this time, I gained strong experience in organising weddings. I have a strong knowledge base of where money should be spent in a wedding and how to get the most value for money from suppliers. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed my line of work, I longed to start a family.
In 2008 I gave birth to a baby boy, my Koby. He is the greatest gift I could ever receive in life, and I am so grateful to have been blessed with the privilege of being his mum.
After staying at home for some time I began discussing returning to work with my good friend, and together we decided that we would start up our own events management business therefore enabling us to work, but also spend time with our children.
We created Eat Cake Events as a one stop shop for anyone looking to hold an event. We source everything from venues and caterers, to transport, accommodation and decorations; you name it and we can organise it!
